New Faces, but No Big Men for Knicks

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/2010/10/16/2010-10-16_knicks_go_small_lose_to_celtics_in_hartford_despite_efforts_of_danilo_gallinari_.html

The article analyzes the recent Knicks loss against Boston. Bondy looked at the fact that, without Amr'e, D'Antoni has to REALLY experiment to just hang with the teams that have more than average big men. For example, Dallas, Miami, and Lakers's Bynum, Odom, Gasol 'nough said. Newly acquired Mozgov is a monstrous man, but is yet to know how to use his size in the NBA. He fouled out after 20 minutes. Nonetheless, this offense may look a lot like the Suns offense of a couple years ago with or/and without Amar'e. Anyway, I think it must have been difficult for Bondy to write anything about what the Knicks are thinking to do in order to win games, not to mention a legit use of Amar'e and Chandler and D'Antoni's willingness to roll with a rotation that may be changed and reviewed until January if it doesn't work. I don't know why coach would put all that out there in the first place!

  1. This post is a game story. But because no one cares about what happens in a preseason game, Bondy has correctly used the opportunity to analyze what is going on on the Knicks.
